Police Log July 6 - 15

The following information was supplied by the Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Vandalists continued to egg houses, break mailboxes and smash windows over the last two weeks. A gym patron also literally picks something up and puts it down in an unruly manner.

Wednesday, July 6

7:16 a.m.: Danielle Street, vandalism. House struck with eggs.

12:54 p.m.: Burt Street, motor vehicle accident hit and run. Caller reported she was sideswiped by another motor vehicle that kept going.

2:34 p.m.: E. Main Street, harassment/threats from ex-employee.

4:35 p.m.: Pine Street, vandalism. House struck with eggs.

5:56 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, three-car motor vehicle accident.

8:58 p.m.: South Lakeview Road, vandalism. Broken window. Believed to have been a rock that was thrown through the window.

Thursday, July 7

4:22 a.m.: N. Worcester Street. Police arrested Colby Williams, 18, of W. Main Street, and charged him with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

6:33 p.m.: Kensington Road, assisted the fire department.

7:42 p.m.: Jacobs Way, assisted the fire department.

8:30 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, larceny of alcohol.

9:03 p.m.: Peter Street, vandalism. Caller reported wire from the propane tank on the grill was cut. Caller reports it was not a clean cut, it appears someone spent some time cutting it.

Friday, July 8

3:27 a.m.: Spruce Tree Lane, harassment/threats on Facebook. Advised to go to courthouse on tomorrow for harassment order.

7:35 a.m.: John Scott Boulevard, motor vehicle accident with minor injury.

9:52 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident.

10:27 a.m.: Cobb Street, vandalism. Caller reported his vehicle windows were smashed out with a baseball bat.

12:31 p.m.: Brettun Drive, assisted the fire department. Fallen tree limb on wires. National Grid notified the tree company.

11:17 p.m.: Pleasant Street, motor vehicle accident hit and run. Property owner reported that someone struck his mailbox, street sign and concrete post.

Saturday, July 9

12:28 a.m.: Agorista Lane, vandalism. Caller reported two vehicles had windows smashed out.

1:18 a.m.: Oak Street, vandalism. Several mailboxes in roadway smashed.

12:20 p.m.: Billie’s Way, assisted the fire department. Party fell of ladder, began to seize.

3:32 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Mansfield and Easton Police Departments with hit and run.

4:27 p.m.: Downing Drive, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reported coming home through the garage and saw his front door frame busted.

9:56 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, assisted other police department for illegally sold tee shirts.

10:50 p.m.: Burt Street, domestic disturbance.

Sunday, July 10

1:22 p.m.: Assisted Mansfield Police Department.

7:19 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.

9:27 p.m.: Jacobs Way, fireworks.

9:54 p.m.: King Philip Road, domestic disturbance.

10:25 p.m.: Young Avenue, domestic disturbance.

10:29 p.m.: E. Main Street, general disturbance. Caller reported that two men came to his door banging on it and yelling that they were going to kick it in. They left while on the phone, he had no description of subjects or vehicles involved.

10:45 p.m.: Police arrested Jamie P. Masse, 38, of Young Avenue, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

7:07 a.m.: Johnson Drive, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reported that a GPS was taken.

9:11 a.m.: Falls Road, domestic disturbance.

9:17 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, fraud/embezzlement. Walk-in reported he bought tickets off Craigslist and they were fraudulent.

4:37 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.

5:55 p.m.: W. Main Street, assisted the fire department.

6:39 p.m.: W. Main/Freeman Streets, motorcycle accident. Party transported to hospital.

8:41 p.m.: E. Main/Norton Glen, motor vehicle accident.

8:58 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, harassment/threats from neighbor.

10:41 p.m.: Sun Hill Road, trespassing.

Tuesday, July 12

7:03 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, domestic disturbance.

2:51 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, harassment/threats. Report of harassing phone calls that she won money. advised to contact phone company.

4:52 p.m.: Johnson Drive, vandalism. Caller reports his motorcycle and shed have been damaged.

8:28 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Damage over $1,000.

11:14 a.m.: E. Main Street, general disturbance. Manager reporting that a patron of the gym had gotten irate at a policy change. He stated the male party was swearing and being disruptive and dumped trash on the floor. Male left. Reporting party stated that he canceled the individual's membership and refunded his payment for July. Advised to call if the individual returns.

1:26 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, shoplifting.
