Police Log: Man Arrested After Giving Acquaintance a Black Eye

Saturday, Sept. 13
At 10:56 a.m., police reported a tree down that was partially obstructing the roadway on Noyes Street. Highway patrol was notified and removed the tree.
At 11:18 a.m., police reported a burglar alarm at North Easton Savings Bank on Mansfield Avenue. A bank clerk reported that a woman fled after attempting to cash a bad check.

At 12:42 p.m., police reported vandalism of two cars that were keyed overnight on Village Way.

At 12:50 a.m., police put a male into protective custody after he was found urinating in the bushes on Scott Drive.
At 11:00 a.m., police reported vandalism to a mailbox on Pine Street.
At 10:07 p.m., an off-duty officer reports two gun shots heard near John Scott Boulevard. An area search found no incidents.
Monday, Sept. 15
At 9:11 a.m., police reported larceny of multiple items from a storage shed on Lincoln Street.
At 3:57 p.m., James Gallant, 32, 99 Weir St. of Taunton, was arrested on a warrant at the Extended Stay on South Washington Street. Police reported Gallant gave an acquaintance a black eye and threatened violence.
At 7:39 p.m., police reported a civil complaint on Cottage Street where a woman believes her landlord is entering her residence when she isnβt home. The woman said she found an apple core inside her residence and she is allergic to apples so it did not come from her.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
At 6:58 a.m., police reported larceny of tools on Maple Street.
At 7:44 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage where a bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle on West Main Street. The bicyclist received minor injuries and refused an ambulance.
At 3:28 p.m., police reported a white truck pulling a landscape trailer leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Barrows Street. The truck was seen striking and damaging multiple mailboxes.
At 6:04 p.m., police reported vandalism regarding two juveniles throwing eggs that hit a motor vehicle and its passenger on King Philip Road.
