Police on the Lookout for Man Who Broke into Basement

At 5:32 p.m. Jan. 6, received a call from a resident of 15 Harvey St. stating that a man had just broken into her residence through the rear basement door. The caller stated she was inside her residence when she heard a loud noise in her basement. She then observed a male flee from the rear basement door, into the wooded area behind the residence. The caller was unable to give a complete description of the male.

 Norton Police searched the area for almost two hours with the assistance of two State Police K9s, but were unable to locate the subject.

 The incident is under investigation by Detective Todd Bramwell and Patrolman Kevin Schleicher. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Norton Police Department.
