Announcement made public at the Norton High School athletic banquet.
principal Raymond Dewar announced at Tuesday night’s athletic banquet that he will be leaving the school for another job in July.

“It’s half the commute, so I’ll be able to spend a lot more time with my family,” said the Worcester resident. “It’s was basically the right move right now with my kids.”
His two children are 11 and 9 years old.
"In the last nine years this school has been transformed academically. It is a respected and admired athletically," said Kevin O’Neil, Building Committee chairman. "And there's no doubt in my mind that none of that would have happened without the leadership of Mr. Dewar."
Dewar was presented with a varsity letter at the athletic banquet.
“I love this school, I love this community,” Dewar said. “It is really bittersweet leaving here.”
