Read & Rise Playgroup

Parents and their child(ren) ages 2.5 to 3.5 are invited to this free, six-session literacy playgroup, running on Fridays from March 7th through April 11th.
All families have strengths they can draw upon to foster children's literacy. Read & Rise is designed to help families support their children's early literacy development. Children and parents will be actively engaged in books, songs, activities, hands-on materials and playgroup routines with a focus on literacy. Each family will go home with a different children's book every week to keep add to their child's library for home!!!
This playgroup is offered by Nancy Swirka, an early childhood specialist with Self Help Inc.'s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement program.
