A new online map reveals 16 of the nearly 370,000 vehicular deaths across the country within an eight-year time frame took place in Norton.

A digital map that was released last month byΒ The GuardianΒ revealing road casualties across the United States between 2001 and 2009 includes 16 deaths in Norton.Β
Nearly 370,000 people died from vehicular accidents between 2001 and 2009, according to The Guardian, and ITO World, a group of transport data mapping professionals, put together a display of data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.Β
Zooming into the map reveals eight vehicular deaths, four pedestrian deaths, three motorcycle deaths and one bicyclist death in Norton. Five of these deaths were on Route 495.
