Rockland Man Arrested for Breaking and Entering

At 1:30 a.m. today, a Rockland man was arrested for breaking into a Norton resident's shed on Agorista Lane.
Norton Police received a call from the resident stating that someone was breaking into a shed in his back yard. The caller stated he observed two individuals, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and carrying flashlights, entering his shed and carrying items to a vehicle parked on the street.Β
Patrolman Patrick Mahoney arrived on scene and observed one subject matching that description standing at the rear of a vehicle parked on Agorista Lane. After a brief encounter, the subject, Matthew Shea, 26, of Hingham Street, Rockland, was placed under arrest.Β Stolen items identified by the resident were recovered from the vehicle. Police were unable to locate the second individual.

Β Shea is charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250 and posession of burglarious tools. He will appear in Attleboro District Court today, Wednesday, April 18.
