Stolen Car in Norton Police Log: Aug. 20 - 21

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 20
3:27 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, general disturbance. Neighbor reporting disturbance with son and mother arguing and banging objects in apartment. One male put in protective custody.
6:01 a.m.: Washington Street, motor vehicle theft. Subject into station reporting vehicle stolen sometime overnight.
7:03 a.m.: Burt Street, larceny. Caller reports he put out his blue Waste Management trash barrel out last night and this morning the barrel, along with the trash, is missing. Barrel found in front of another residence.
8:37 p.m.: Johnson Drive, assault. Walk in claims he was assaulted this past weekend. Advised of his options.
9:54 p.m.: Barrows Street, general disturbance. Caller reports his ex girlfriend will not give him his vehicle. Caller was advised of his options.
10:23 p.m.: N. Washington Street, general disturbance. Caller is reporting loud gathering, with engines revving and excessive noise. They were working on motor vehicles and will be quieting down for the night.

Tuesday, Aug. 21
10:45 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, fraud/embezzlement. Caller needs officer for fraudulent check report. Online scam, no losses.
10:46 a.m.: E. Main Street, suspicious condition. Possible stolen vehicle running next to post office with no key. Two suspects were seen leaving the area. Taunton Police Department called to report that the blue Oldsmobile was possibly involved in an attempted shoplifting at the Dollar Store on the Taunton/Raynham line. Description of suspects is slightly different so they will call back if they get more information. Still photos requested of suspects. Female walk-in to report her vehicle stolen.
1:11 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, fraud/embezzlement.
2:04 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports she was involved in a two-car accident, no apparent injuries.
2:15 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Motorcycle versus car in center of town. Vehicles towed.
3:48 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports her neighbor has threatened her in the past, most recently, has threatened to run her and her dog over numerous times. Both parties advised of their options.
5:37 p.m.: Oak/Elm Street, motor vehicle accident. Two car accident.
5:46 p.m.: E. Main Street/Norton Glen, domestic disturbance.
7:26 p.m.: Plain Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports smoke and smell of burning coming from the wooded area. Cooking fire. Extinguished.
10:08 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports she has been receiving threats from her ex boyfriend's current girlfriend. Advised of her options. Advised other female via message.
