Students From New Testament are Sent Around the World
Book 'Flat Stanley' used as inspiration.

The third grade class at announced that they are traveling around the world, or at least their “Flat Selves” are.
It all started with a book called "Flat Stanley," by Jeff Brown, and a creative idea.
“The students began their flat project by creating, coloring and decorating flat versions of themselves, who are now world explorers," explained third grade teacher Mrs. Lawrence. "The students as a class wrote a letter explaining the project, and how the process works. They addressed envelopes to friends and family around the world, included the signed letter, and placed a flat self in the envelope to be mailed, the journey thus begun.”

The flat selves are to be continuously forwarded to others, and postcards or letters are sent back to the students at New Testament Christian School. The class requested that the return correspondence be about the geography and demographics of the location from which the letter is being sent.
The class is using the information received to create an ever expanding bulletin board along with student knowledge of the world around them.
