Summer Camp Guide for the Norton Area
Enrollment is starting soon for many summer camps. Here's a selection of summer camps in Massachusetts.

With the choice and variety of summer camps available in New England in 2013, boredom won't be an option.
Organizations, from the YMCA to your local parks and recreation department, offer dozens of camp choices for recreation, science, reading, sports, music and more. Whether you're looking for an all-around experience or a more focused camp, this list can easily launch your camp search with examples in your town and surrounding areas.

Type: Traditional summer day camp for girls
Cost/Dates: June 8 - 26 Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. AM sessions $10 per day. PM session $15 per day, or a total of $25 a day.
Details: Camp Edith Read is located in Norton. This 44-acre site along Wading River offers girls the chance to explore nature in a safe, fun environment. The site includes a lodge, playing field, adventure trail, shelters for rainy day activities and an in-ground swimming pool. Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, singing, games, outdoor cooking and so much more. Choose sessions when registering or submit form in Camp Edith Read Information Packet.

Cost/dates: Cost varies. Camp Finberg in Norton offers one-week sessions from June 24-Aug. 30. Camp Pleasant iin Attleboro offers 11 weekly sessions from June 17 – Aug. 30. Camp Lees Pond in Attleboro offers seven one-week sessions July 8 - Aug. 23. Specialty camps also offered.
Details: The Attleboro YMCA Day Camps encourage kids to play, get messy, be silly, be creative, have fun – and simply be a kid. While racing across a ball field, belting out camp songs, splashing in the pool, and bonding with friends during a team challenge, our campers develop the types of memories, skills and friendships that shape them for the rest of their lives.

Details: Celtics Cowens Camps will provide boys and girls ages 10-18 a structured learning experience focused on basketball fundamentals like offense, defense and shooting, while encouraging personal development in sportsmanship and team participation.

Bulldog Baseball School Development Camp
Location: Dean College, Franklin, MA
Type: Baseball day camp
Dates: 4-day sessions, July 1-July 18
Details: This 4-day commuter camp is open to players between the ages of 7 and 13. The knowledgeable and energetic staff will provide campers with specialized instruction covering all phases of the game.

Details: Resident Campers have the opportunity to choose different activities out of an average of twenty (20). Activity periods are approximately one hour.
