TAUNTON, MA – Two teens are in custody following a Wednesday night shooting at a Taunton liquor store. A 17-year-old and 18-year-old male are expected to be arraigned Thursday, according to a press release. Police responded to Eagan's Package Store on the unit block of Cohannet Street at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday night and found a female clerk alone in the store with a shotgun wound sustained during an attempted armed robbery.

One of the males, described as light-skinned, black and six feet tall with a mask and hood over his head, allegedly approached the clerk and demanded money. The second suspect, described as a white male, about six feet tall, wearing plaid pants and a blue hoodie with his face concealed, was standing approximately 20 feet behind him.

Police said the first suspect allegedly used the shotgun to poke at the clerk to open the cash drawer. The clerk resisted and grabbed the barrel of the shotgun, at which point the male allegedly fired one shot.
