The Sun Shines For Wheaton Commencement

The Wheaton College Class of 2011 celebrated nice weather and their graduation commencement.

The sun shone brightly earlier today for commencement celebration. The college awarded an honorary degree to Time magazine editor, Richard Stengel, who delivered the keynote address to the graduating class.

The college also awarded honorary degrees to Wyneva Johnson, an assistant U.S. attorney; Susan Stampler Paresky, senior vice president for development at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; and Hope Hamilton Pettegrew, co-founder of Cobblestone magazine and a former Wheaton trustee.
