Town Moderator Seeking Finance Committee Members
Four terms due to expire in June.

Norton Town Moderator Bill Gouveia is seeking citizens wishing to be appointed to the town Finance Committee. Gouveia notes there will be four terms on the 11-member body expiring at the end of June, and at least one will be open due to a resignation.
Gouveia relates the Finance Committee is an important board in town. It makes recommendations to the voters on all articles that will appear before the Town Meeting, including the town budget. Those appointed must be available to meet on Monday and Wednesday nights, or sometimes just one of those, between February and early May, and then again for a shorter time in September and October as well as occasional meetings in between those times.
There is no experience necessary, and you do not need a financial background to be a member. You must be a registered voter of the Town of Norton and have a desire to serve your community.
