Vandalism, Bone Found in Norton Police Log: June 30 - July 1

Saturday, June 30
1:00 a.m.: N. Worcester Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports that a 49-year-old female has fallen and struck her head. She is conscious at this time with bleeding controlled. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Call from rescue personnel at hospital report female made statement that there was a disturbance earlier between the two parties at residence. Β
3:34 p.m.: W. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. Paperwork was exchanged, less than $1,000 in damage.
6:14 p.m.: Morgan Lane, domestic disturbance.
7:02 p.m.: Dean Street, general disturbance. Caller reports an unwanted male on the premise.
He was trespassed from the property.
9:50 p.m.: Sanlin Street, harassing phone calls.
10:03 p.m.: Mayflower Road, general disturbance. Complaint about fireworks going off and
landing on her roof. Report says they were coming from Sailor's Lane and have been shut
down for the night.
Sunday, July 1
12:05 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, general disturbance. Caller reports late night vehicle races back and forth between residence and Dean Street Garage.
12:45 a.m.: Bullock Drive/Maple Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports suspicious vehicle with three subjects around it. Two took off on foot heading in direction of Harvey Street. Two town by-law citations issued for 94-C.
2:05 a.m.: W. Main Street, vandalism. Caller reports mailbox is now on the ground. Area search negative.
8:29 a.m.: Barrows Court, vandalism. Caller reports rear window of motor vehicle parked in driveway was smashed out over night. This is following another vandalism incident this past Thursday. Ongoing issue. Victim this time not a resident. Damage to rear left tire, rear window.
10:17 a.m.: W. Main Street, vandalism. Caller reports her mailbox was knocked over sometime last night.
10:22 a.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Multiple callers reporting motor vehicle fire. Engine compartment fire, initially knocked down.
11:46 a.m.: W. Main Street, animal incident. Caller is requesting an officer to CVS parking lot for a gray minivan for a dog left in the vehicle and is not responding. Caller reports it's been 15 minutes and they have made an announcement in the store but no one has come out. Police
report dog is fine and barking, but inside the vehicle, attempting to locate the owner. Fire Department requested to open door. Vehicle owner has arrived, Fire Department cancelled.
1:00 p.m.: Hickory Road, domestic disturbance.
8:33 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, suspicious condition. Walk in reporting she found a bone on the Water Department land near her house. Lt. Jackson has the bone and will be sending it out for testing.
