Yoga for Addictions
Certified Yoga Instructor Ellen Cosgrove-Cuneo will guide us through a beginner sequence of yoga asanas, affirmations, and relaxation meditation that will restore your mind, body, and spirit back to balance.
What is Yoga for Addictions? Yoga is an embodied spiritual practice, breathing with movement and intention. In this practice we integrate the wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of the 12-step programs, guided by themes that inspire and motivate us to look deep within the issues in our tissues! Addictive behaviors separate us from ourselves, each other, and the environment. Yoga enables us to connect to our wholeness, where we more readily recognize our addictive behaviors and find the inner strength to move beyond them. Through yoga asanas we embrace concepts such as mind, body, and breath awareness, letting go, acceptance and gratitude. Yoga for addiction is a healing process for anyone suffering from any form of addiction, for recovering addicts, as well as family members and friends. We gather as one and unite to conquer and overcome with love. For everyone entering this journey, the path of recovery, this is a safe and judgment-free practice that will allow you to find relief, one breath at a time.
