A Craft Fair with a Cause

Shop Local, Help Local Cats: Humane Society Craft Fair Returns September 27

This post was contributed by a community member.

Looking for a fun way to shop local while supporting cats in need? Neponset Valley Humane Society (NVHS) is bringing its annual Craft Fair back to Norwood on Sunday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 572 Nichols Street.

The community is invited to spend the day browsing the work of more than 30 local vendors, discovering unique handmade gifts and getting an early start on holiday shopping—all while helping NVHS rescue and care for cats and kittens in the community.

The event will also feature raffle baskets, giving shoppers another chance to win while supporting the all-volunteer organization. Attendees are also encouraged to bring donations for the cat food drive, helping keep local cats well-fed.

"It's a wonderful opportunity to shop local, connect with our community and help cats who need us," said Cathy Tainer, president of Neponset Valley Humane Society. "Every purchase, raffle ticket and donation makes a difference."

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. Come shop, win, donate—and maybe leave with a little something for the cat who already owns your house.
