• $5M Lottery Prize Sold In Norwood (patch.com) — A Norwood convenience store on Fulton Street sold a $5 million winning scratch ticket this week, bringing a $50,000 bonus to the shop and a multimillion-dollar payout to a Hingham trust. Nearly 20 other winning tickets, including a $5,000 prize, were also sold in Norwood on Tuesday, highlighting a particularly lucky day for local lottery players.
   

• Gasoline poured on Norwood properties; arson investigation underway (wcvb.com) — Norwood police are investigating after someone was caught on video Saturday night pouring what appeared to be gasoline on properties near Lane Drive and Bruce Road, where a small exterior fire was also reported. Residents in that area are urged to review any doorbell or security footage from that evening and contact police or use the town's anonymous tip email with anything suspicious.
