- To market, to market: The farmers market at the is 2-7 p.m. today. There's plenty of free parking nearby on Railroad Avenue.
- Couch to 5K: The starts its Couch to 5K program tonight, which will continue Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:15-8 p.m. Check over at www.peabody-ma.gov/parks_rec.html to see if there's still space to register. The program is open to residents and non-residents alike and meets over at Buckley Field (next to the ). The cost is $35, which includes 5K race entry fee for Sept. 19.
- The RMV has a new number: The Registry of Motor Vehicles now has a new number for customer service calls: 857-368-8000. Rachel Kaprielian, who heads up the RMV, said as the state Department of Transportation transitions its offices over to the new number and system, it will actually net a savings of about $422,000 on the annual phone bill and maintenance. MassDOT is replacing antique and redundant telecom systems for the RMV, Turnpike, MassHighway and Executive Office of Transportation.

PMLP said in an announcement yesterday that it's simply part of the ongoing effort to improve customer experience.
