Here's what you need to know to get your weekend started.

Today is Friday, June 22. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.

  1. The weekend forecast: Friday should be slightly cooler with a high of 90 degrees and some possible showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon. More of the same is expected Saturday with a dip down to the 70s and Sunday is forecast for sunny skies with a much more moderate 75-degree high.
  2. The family of the late Stephanie Moulton are holding a scholarship fundraiser again in her name Saturday, but this time over at the Vittori-Roci Post in Beverly, where there's more room. Last year's event was filled to capacity at the in Peabody. The event runs 7-11 p.m. at 143 Brimbal Ave. in Beverly and is $20 per ticket and is for those 21 and older. Tickets will be sold at the door, but advance tickets are available.   3. Home Run Derby Day: Peabody Little League will be with some help from the North Shore Navigators at Macarthur Park. A clinic will be held 8:30-10:30 with the Navigators for ages 5-8 while the derby itself will be run 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for ages 9-12. Donations benefit the Jimmy Fund.
  4. Mirror Mirror: In anticipation of the release of Relativity Media's family comedy "Mirror Mirror" on DVD and Blu-ray next week, the Kidgits Club at the is . "Filled with mystic mirrors, an enchanted forest and rebellious dwarfs, the food court will never be the same," says an announcement by the mall. There will also be a special viewing area of the film along with tiara decorating, majestic mirror-making, a coloring station, potion-making and dancing.
