Today is Thursday, June 28. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.

  2. City Council: The Peabody City Council meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. for its regula session at , but prior to that is a meeting of the Municipal Safety Committee at 6:30 p.m. and a Committee of the Whole at 7 p.m.
  3. The Making a Difference in Peabody Foundation celebrates 10 years tonight at from 5-7:30 p.m., and plans to honor four long time community volunteers for giving back. Stay tuned for more details.

The folks over at , a local retirement community, say technology is thriving there, so much so that they're hosting a Brooksby Village Technology Expo today from 1-3 p.m. Guests and Brooksby Village residents will have the opportunity to interact and have some hands-on fun with iPads, Wii, Facebook and more.
