5. Peabody Library To Launch Summer Reading With Ice Cream Party (patch.com) — Peabody families can mark their calendars for a free Summer Reading Kick-Off Ice Cream Party at the Main Library on July 12, running from noon to 4 p.m. Kids in grades K-5 are invited between 2 and 3 p.m., while teens in grades 6-12 can drop in from 3 to 4 p.m. No registration is required, and every student can pick a free book to keep.
