PEABODY, MA — Ward 2 City Councilor Wendy Lattof will host a Community Family Pride Open House on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at The Bell Inn & Tavern on Washington Street in Peabody.
The event is open to the public. Residents do not need to live in Ward 2 to attend.
The free event is billed as a family-friendly gathering with games, crafts and community connection.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from The Bell Inn & Tavern's menu.
Free face painting, crafts and games also are planned.
The Good Witch of Salem is scheduled to attend from 3 to 4 p.m. for a book reading and meet-and-greet. Her book shares a message about celebrating individuality, building self-confidence and being kind to others.
"This event is about bringing people together in a welcoming, positive, and family-friendly way," said Councilor Wendy Lattof. "As a mom, supporting my daughter and making sure she always knows she is loved, accepted, and celebrated is deeply meaningful to me.
Pride is about kindness, acceptance, individuality, and community — values we should celebrate not just during Pride, but every day."
