PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Police Department has been awarded accreditation status for a three-year period ending June 2029 from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission.
The department said the designation reflects its commitment to police service in the city.
"We are pleased to share that Accreditation status has been awarded to the Peabody Police Dept for a period of three years ending June 2029 from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission," the department said.
The department also connected the award to its internal standards and daily operations.
"Achieving Accreditation demonstrates our department's commitment to delivering an exemplary level of police service in Peabody," the statement said. "This accomplishment requires a lot of hard work and a department-wide effort."
"We would like to publicly thank Peabody Police Lt. Tim Sullivan and Sgt. Jonathan Blodgett from our training division for their leadership in the accreditation process as we continually pursue professional excellence."
