Peabody-Based Bridgewell Earns 3-Year CARF Accreditation Across 10 Programs

PEABODY, MA — Bridgewell, a nonprofit social and human services organization serving northeastern Massachusetts, has been awarded a three-year CARF accreditation in 10 of its person-centered programs.

The Peabody-based organization said the accreditation reflects performance against internationally recognized benchmarks for standards of care and quality of services.

According to Bridgewell, the CARF site survey took place in April 2026 and involved a three-day review process. During that process, a team of surveyors visited programs, observed business operations and service delivery, and reviewed policies, financial statements, recordkeeping, and program documentation.

The surveyors also conducted confidential interviews with employees, board members, individuals served, and family members, according to the announcement.

Bridgewell President and CEO Christopher Tuttle said the designation reflects the organization’s work across its services.

"Bridgewell is proud to have earned the prestigious CARF accreditation, as it recognizes our commitment to providing quality, compassionate care and support," said Tuttle. "The CARF accreditation is reflective of the dedication that each and every employee in our organization has to empowering individuals in need and helping them to live safe and fulfilling lives."

The organization said the CARF report identified several areas of strength. Those included leadership and governance that provide clear vision, oversight, and strategic direction, along with a stated dedication to providing a continuum of care for individuals served.

Bridgewell also reported that the survey noted advocacy, education, and training available to individuals served, as well as staff training, professional development, and specialized training tailored to individuals' needs.

Bridgewell said it is one of a very limited number of providers to receive accreditation for its standards of support for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
