PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Northshore Mall, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets and three other Massachusetts shopping centers plan free ice cream parties on July 3 as the July 4 holiday weekend begins.
The events are scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Burlington Mall, South Shore Plaza, Northshore Mall and Copley Place.
There is no cost to participate, while supplies last. The announcement says the events are meant to celebrate America's birthday and bring the centers' communities together ahead of the holiday.
At Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, the event will be held at The Turf at 1 Premium Outlet Blvd. Frozen custard from Shake Shack will be provided to the first 200 guests. The outlet center also plans a photo moment, live entertainment and more, according to the announcement.
At Burlington Mall, the event will be held at the top of the Nordstrom Wing by Coach at 75 Middlesex Turnpike. Ice cream from Van Leeuwen will be available to the first 200 customers. Burlington Mall also plans a collaborative art activation with Craft Loft, according to the announcement.
South Shore Plaza's event is set for Center Court near Level 1 Macy's at 250 Granite Street in Braintree.
Northshore Mall's event is planned for JCPenney Court at 210 Andover Street in Peabody, where Van Leeuwen ice cream will be available to the first 200 customers.
Copley Place will hold its event in Center Court at 100 Huntington Avenue in Boston.
Retailers across the centers will mark the holiday with special offers and summer savings. From July 3 through July 4, Simon+ loyalty members will receive exclusive benefits, including 25 percent off one item at select retailers and 2.5 points on purchases.
At Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, the listed 25 percent off one item offers include Express Factory Outlet, New Balance Factory Store and Vineyard Vines. At Copley Place, the listed offers include Harbor Sweets, BOSS and Parm. At Northshore Mall, the listed offers include H&M, Legal Sea Foods and PacSun.
