Peabody Institute Library To Open Sundays Starting In September

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Institute Library will open its main branch on Sundays beginning in September.

The library announced that, starting on Sept. 13, the branch at 82 Main Street will open from 1 to 5 p.m. each week.

The increase in hours comes after the library announced reduced hours this spring as the city looked to close a budget gap. At the time, it was announced that hours at the West Branch and the South Branch would be shortened with the branches closed on Fridays and Sundays.

The main library branch hours were left unchanged in those hour reductions.
