The event will help mark Brooksby Farm's 50th anniversary under ownership of the city of Peabody.

"Senior Day is one of my favorite annual traditions, and this year's event has extra special meaning," Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt said. "I look forward to spending time with Peabody's senior citizens at one of the city's most cherished landmarks.

"The Peabody Council on Aging and Brooksby Farm do a wonderful job making this beloved event possible each year."

Attendees can expect a complimentary lunch, dessert and Brooksby Farm apple cider. The event will also include live entertainment, hayrides, tours of the historical properties and time to shop in the farm store.

Flu shots will be available onsite.

Seniors who want to attend are asked to RSVP through the Peabody Council on Aging at 978-531-2254. The same RSVP process applies to transportation and flu shots.

For those planning to use free transportation from the Torigian Senior Center, 79 Central Street, the city said guests should meet in the lobby by 9 a.m. Onsite parking will also be available at Brooksby Farm in a clearly marked field, and attendees will be bused to the event area.
