Silva was expected to face the charges in Peabody District Court.

Police said this was the second time in a little more than two years that a search warrant was executed at the home, leading to drug charges.

On June 13, 2024, police said Silva was charged with drug possession with intent to sell and animal cruelty. He later pleaded guilty to those charges.

Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin thanked the detective division, patrol division, K9 division, and drone division, as well as the Middleton Police Department, Lynn Police Department, Salem Police Department, Danvers Police Department, Massachusetts State Police K9 Unit, and the Animal Rescue League of Boston Police, for their assistance in the investigation.
