PEABODY, MA — Parking restrictions will be in effect on Peabody streets on Thursday night ahead of the International Festival rescheduled to this weekend.
The Department of Public Services will sweep key downtown roadways overnight on Thursday, continuing into the early morning hours of Friday.
Parking will be prohibited from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Walnut Street, Foster Street, Main Street, Washington Street, and Lowell Street from Sawyer Street to Peabody Square.
A police detail officer will be present during the operation.
The International Festival was postponed from last weekend to this coming Sunday because of the nor'easter, with the street sweeping intended to clear roads of debris that collected during the high winds and heavy rain.
