More Apartments for Courthouse Pub Building?
Owners asking for special permit from City Council to change use from bar to housing.

PEABODY, MA - The City Council is scheduled to consider a special permit allowing for a change of use at 43 Central Street, most recently the home of the Courthouse Pub.
A&M Realty Group of Peabody is looking for the permit to discontinue the existing pub/restaurant/bar use and replace it with two apartment units.
The apartments would be in the existing structure at the corner of Elm and Central Streets and there would be no additions or changes to the building other than discontinuing the restaurant use and replacing it with apartments, according to the filing with the City Council.

There are currently three apartment units in the building. If the special permit is passed, it would bring the number to five. The site has the required number of parking spots for the additional residential use, according to the realty company.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at City Hall.
