Auto Club Will Sue Peabody Over Tow Truck Terminal Rejection
AAA Northeast wanted to turn a dormant property on Leland Park Drive into a 45-vehicle maintenance facility.

PEABODY, MA -- Peabody City Council's rejection of a bid by AAA Northeast to build a tow truck terminal just off Route 1 North has the auto club vowing to sue the city. City Council rejected the proposal to turn the Lawrence Metal Forming Corp. property on Leland Lark Drive into a 45-vehicle maintenance facility.
According to the Daily Item, which first reported this story, AAA Northeast almost immediately said it would appeal the decision in Essex County Superior Court. "We think our appeal will have some considerable validity," John Kelly, an attorney for AAA Northeast, said.
