Back To School: Peabody 2023-24 School Calendar

PEABODY, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Peabody, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Higgins Middle School and the elementary schools.

The first day of school for most students in Peabody is Aug. 30.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Peabody Public Schools

First Day: Sept. 5 for Grades 1-12

Sept. 8 for grades pre-K and kindergarten

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 through Nov. 26 (early release on Nov. 22)

Winter Break: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1

February Break: Feb. 19 through Feb. 23

April Break: April 15 through April 19

HS Graduation Day: June 7

Last Day: June 18; with five snow days June 26, including Juneteenth holiday on June 19

No School Days: Yom Kippur Sept. 25, Primary Election Day Sept. 26, Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day Oct. 9, Election Day Nov. 7, Veterans Day Nov. 10, Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 15, Professional Development March 15, Good Friday March 29, Memorial Day May 27.
