Bettencourt Headlines SSU Lifelong Learners Program

The Explorers Lifelong Learning Institute of Salem State University hosts Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt at its Wednesday, July 22 Intersession program.

Wednesday’s program is titled Re-making a City in Modern Massachusetts.

Bettencourt has been mayor of Peabody since 2011 and is one of the new breed of competent young

mayors of North Shore cities. He will share how he sees the city of Peabody today, changes he has already helped to effect change, and his vision for the Peabody of the future.

Explorers LLI of Salem State University is one of more than 400 Lifelong Learning Institute chapters across the USA. Membership is open to anyone 50 years of age or older.

Non-members are welcome to attend Intersession programs and donations are appreciated.

The Intersession program with Mayor Bettencourt takes place Wednesday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at the Explorers LLI of Salem State University on 10 Federal St., Suite 10 in Salem.
