Bishop Fenwick Students Earn Top Honors In Art Awards
Seven Bishop Fenwick students received regional recognition for eight art projects in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

PEABODY, MA — Seven Bishop Fenwick students received regional recognition in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
The competition, established in 1923, celebrates young artists across the country. This year, nearly 9,000 art entries were submitted from Massachusetts alone.
Danielle Nalesnik, Class of 2026 from Revere, earned a Gold Key for her photography piece, "Chiaroscuro Leaves." Her Gold Key entry will advance to the national competition in March.

Neive Bachman, Class of 2027 from Beverly, received a Silver Key for her ceramics and glass piece, "The world is your oyster."
Kailyn Grassia, Class of 2028 from Beverly, also earned a Silver Key for her ceramics and glass work, "Բարի ախորժակ!" (Enjoy your meal!).

Five students received Honorable Mentions for their artistic submissions. Luis Araujo Mendoza, Class of 2027 from Peabody, was recognized for his photography, "Umbrella Alley." Sofia DeLuca, Class of 2027 from Peabody, received two Honorable Mentions for her drawing, "agoraphobia," and her ceramics and glass piece, "Won't you come and save me?".

Violet Elizabeth-White, Class of 2027 from Salem, earned an Honorable Mention for her drawing, "A Mercy from the Beyond." Molli Ingersoll, Class of 2028 from Lynn, was also recognized with an Honorable Mention for her ceramics and glass work, "The Circus of Sin."

The school highlighted that the students' work, including photography, ceramics, and drawings, demonstrates a range of artistic expression.
These achievements across multiple disciplines reflect the comprehensive arts education at Bishop Fenwick. The school thanked Visual Arts teachers Taryn Beatrice and Ciara O'Flynn-Gillis for their dedication and mentorship.
