Brooksby Village in Bloom 12 Years Later
Brooksby Village celebrates 12-year anniversary!

The 90-acre site that Brooksby Village rests upon was originally part of a quarry. On June 5, 2000, Brooksby Village opened its doors to residents seeking a new opportunity to be part of an exciting and vibrant way of life with a chance to add more living to their lives.
Now, 12 years later, 1,800 people call it home and there is room for more people to move into Brooksby Village.
Brooksby Village aspired to be a community where older adults could lead an active and engaging lifestyle under one roof with a small town feel – offering many important and exciting amenities and services.

The community has three large clubhouses featuring an on-site medical center, staffed by full-time doctors, five restaurants, two convenience stores, two beauty parlors, a fitness center, a swimming pool, an internal television studio, activity rooms, classrooms, game rooms and even two branches of a bank. Residents also have the opportunity to take part in hundreds of different clubs and activities. The community also has its own Interfaith Chapel on campus that serves as the physical foundation for a strong faith-based community.
“Brooksby Village is a place that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle for its residents and helps them live life to the fullest,” said James Wingardner, Brooksby Village executive director. “For 12 years this community has made a difference in the lives of residents and staff. We will continue to strive to improve the lives of so many more people who become a part of this great community.”

Brooksby Village quickly assimilated into Peabody and its residents became passionate contributors toward non-profit organizations and agencies that make a difference in the lives of others. Many of these residents became involved in volunteering their time and experience with several groups. Other residents support local nonprofit organizations through annual donations.
