New Community Website for Those Seeking North Shore Volunteer Opportunities
Connect North Shore is a new community website that is a "one-stop shop" of nonprofit information for those seeking volunteer opportunities in the North Shore Region.
Tanya Tower, a Northeastern graduate student recently launched a new community website for her Master’s Capstone Project. Connect North Shore, www.connectnorthshore.com, is a website devoted to those seeking local volunteer opportunities in the North Shore Region of Massachusetts.
Connect North Shore acts as a “one-stop shop” of nonprofit information including organization mission statements, current volunteer needs, contact information and more. The purpose is to connect neighbors with nonprofits they are passionate about; therefore the site is separated into specific categories such as Animals, Youth/Education, Environment, Health & Wellness, etc.
Currently featuring 13 local nonprofits, and growing, the website provides free marketing for nonprofits in the North Shore with hopes of increasing recruitment and also making it easier for people to find opportunities that match their needs.
