Brooksby Village residents build 15 ft long North Pole Village

Peabody, MA -- Joan Pappalardo began creating her Dept. 56, North Pole Village years ago with just a few pieces. Some houses were purchased, and some were gifts, but each year her village grew a little larger.

Now, 13 years later, she and her companion, John Murphy, both live at Brooksby Village retirement community in Peabody, unveiled their North Pole Village at 15 feet long and 6 and 8 feet deep.

"John has been putting this together since September", said Pappalardo. “We have collected more pieces over the years. It's even bigger and better than in years past!"

Their two story North Pole Village includes 2 ski slopes and 3 skating rinks and much more.

"Two years ago we had over 1000 people visit us, and this year we expect even more" said Murphy. “People who live and work at Brooksby Village and their families were invited once again to enjoy the Village.”
