No Kings Protest #4

PLEASE JOIN US FOR NO KINGS #4 Protest

Where: On and under the Rail Trail Bridge on Rte 1

Focus: GET OUT THE VOTE

Note: This is a PEACEFUL protest

The Defend Democracy subgroup of Indivisible was started by a group of Brooksby Village residents. The 30-40 protestors weekly has enlarged and now also includes a growing number of people from outside Brooksby Village.

We welcome and encourage anyone to join us to encourage voting and to protest voting suppression peacefully on October 17th, and other concerns any Saturday. There are usually extra signs and flags available on the bridge if you forget your own. Join us. LET’S GET OUT THE VOTE!

THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS SACRED. Trump and his allies will do anything they can to sabotage this November’s midterm election. Although we must not become complacent, Trump and many Republicans are running scared.  No Kings #4 on October 17th is designed to overcome Trump’s voter suppression. We must do all we can and stand together to protect voter registration, defend voting rights. We must not allow ourselves to be intimidated nor silenced. We need a turnout so huge with a margin so big that  trump cannot legally overturn the results; a movement that is too big to rig. LET’S GET OUT THE VOTE!!!

Trump has made it no secret that he wants to sabotage these midterms. He has told his followers to “cheat like hell” in the midterms. He will stop at nothing in his attempts to control this election.  We need to regain a majority in both the House and Senate to start regaining our democracy based on the Constitution and the Rule of Law; we need to win a voting margin too big to steal, too big to rig; a gigantic tsunami demonstrating a mandate too big to ignore. For October 17th that means all of us doing our part to boost the No Kings Protest. Don’t let trump subvert our election. Take back your power. Join us! LET’S GET OUT THE VOTE!                                           

IF possible, boost early voting to historic levels. Rather than mail-in ballots, VOTE EARLY or use DROP BOXES.; problems that surface have time to be fixed which in turn helps stop voting suppression.  If you need to, it is okay to vote by mail, or vote in person (November 3rd). Your vote counts! Your vote matters! We want a voting margin too big to rig! LET’S GET OUT THE VOTE!

Note: PEABODY’S early voting runs October 17-30th; for other towns information is available at your town’s website or mass.gov).

BRING yourselves, your family (teach you children about protests, government), your friends, your neighbors, a sign or flag (great for children), a chair if needed (set up below bridge). (note: we’ve only had threatening voices made to us once, no violence).

And a peaceful, positive attitude.

If sunny, water bottles, hat, sunscreen (yes, even in October).
