Caturday! at the South Branch of the Peabody Library

They “break” the internet. They’re little devils that warm our hearts. They domesticated us thousands of years ago. They are cats and they are amazing. So amazing that they deserve their own day and the South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library is here to give it to them!

Join us at the south Branch for a celebration of all things feline. Saturday, July 16th will be “Caturday” where we’ll have representatives from local shelters to answer your cat questions and talk about cat adoption, our own version of the Internet Cat Video Festival where we’ll show popular cat videos and lay out cat crafts for all ages to enjoy.

We will also be welcoming acclaimed author Alicia Potter, who will be reading her book Miss Hazeltine’s Home for Shy and Fearful Cats and talking about her experiences fostering cats. Her books will be available for purchase, though purchase is not required to attend.

10AM – Northeast Animal Shelter

11AM – Alicia Potter & Miss Hazeltine’s Home for Shy and Fearful Cats

12PM – PALS

1PM – 2016’s Best Internet Cat Videos

ALL DAY – Cat crafts, cat trivia, chat with presenters

Stop by for certain events or spend the day with fellow ailurophiles (cat lovers) and partake in everything we have to offer.

This program is free and open to the public and will take place at the South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library, located at 78 Lynn St. on Saturday, July 16th from 9:30AM-2PM. This event is open to all ages, kids and adults. Registration is not required, but is recommended. In the event of a full room, priority will be given to those registered in advance.
