Celebrate National Memory Screening Day with a Free Memory Screening November 19

National Memory Screening Day is part of a national initiative to promote early detection and intervention for those concerned about memory loss as well as to educate the public about successful aging. Aviv Centers for Living is participating in this important initiative by providing these screenings at our location in Peabody.

November 19, 2013
240 Lynnfield Street, Peabody, MA
10:00am - 12:00 noon and 2:00pm to 4:30pm
Call 978-471-5161 to schedule your free appointment

National Memory Screening Day serves as a starting point for discussions about memory concerns and lifestyle changes such as diet, managing stress, physical and mental exercise—that may help people age successfully. These types of proactive measures are also a way to have an informative baseline for yourself as you go through the aging process.

With these initiatives, our goals are to:

  • Provide free, confidential memory screenings to those with memory concerns or who want to check their memory
  • Eliminate the stigma and fears associated with dementia
  • Encourage those with memory problems to follow up with an exam by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis, treatment, social services and community resources
  • Educate the public about Alzheimer’s disease and successful aging
  • Alleviate the fears of those who do not have a problem

Private screenings take about 5-10 minutes and light refreshments will be served. Call 978-471-5161 to make a free appointment now.
