Peabody will recognize its Irish-American Heritage Month on Saturday, March 14, at City Hall, according to city officials.

A flag-raising ceremony will be held at 8:30 Saturday morning, followed by the Third Annual Peabody St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast and Roast at 9 a.m. in the Wiggin Auditorium.

“Thousands of Peabody residents trace their roots back to Ireland,” said Mayor Edward Bettencourt Jr. in a news release. “We proudly celebrate this heritage by coming together in the spirit of friendship and honoring the many contributions of our Irish-American brethren.”
