City Lifts Parking Ban as Storm Peters Out

Peabody residents can now park on the street again.

After about a full 24 hours, Peabody residents can park their cars on the street again.

Public Services Director Bob Langley told Peabody Patch he called for the ban to be lifted and blue lights across the city to be switched off late Friday afternoon. An official alert from the Peabody police was released at 5:10 p.m.

The two-day snowstorm petered out earlier in the afternoon and the roads were mostly clear to allow safe travel at that point, Langley said.
