PEABODY, MA -- Parents have been taken to social media in recent weeks to complain about school buses that arrive late or, even worse, don't show up in Peabody. At least two buses were no shows on Thursday, according to parents that posted on Moving Peabody Forward, a clsoed Facebook group for Peabody residents. Another prent noted her child's bus didn;t show up last week; when she called school officials, the problem was blamed on a new bus driver.

Peabody Patch has reached out to school officials for comment. This story will be updated when they get back to us.

Peabody charges families $300 per year for bus service, with a cap of $600 per family. The fee is charged based on the student's age and how far they live from their school.
