Defense In Peabody Doctor's Trial Attacks Witness Credibility

Dr. Walter Levitsky, 86, of Topsfield, is accused of sexually assaulting a patient at his Peabody neurology practice.

PEABODY, MA — Defense lawyers for a Peabody neurologist asked a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted during an exam asked why she waited two days to contact police after the appointment on March 1, 2017. Joseph Daniel Mulhall, the lawyer for Dr. Walter Levitsky, 86, of Topsfield, also asked the woman if she planned to a file a civil suit which would be strengthened with a criminal conviction of his client when the woman took the stand Thursday in Peabody Disrtict Court. Levitsky has been charged with indecent assault and battery, according to the Salem News.
