Donation to Peabody Police and Fire Departments
Donation of "Trouble the Dog" plush toys from Eaves Peabody and The Kennek Foundation to Help Children in Crisis

On October 24, 2018, the Peabody Police and Peabody Fire Departments accepted donations of "Trouble the Dog” plush toys from Eaves Peabody, an AvalonBay Community, and The Kennek Foundation of Marblehead. Georgine Weber, Assistant Manager of Eaves Peabody, facilitated the donation, working with Sheila Duncan, Founder of The Kennek Foundation, as a way to support the community. The Kennek Foundation provides comfort to children in crisis with the help of the character, Trouble the Dog and the affiliated plush dogs and children's books. Trouble the Dog will be utilized by first responders in Peabody to give to children in the event of an accident, fire, domestic situation, or other emergency.
During the donation, Chief of Police Thomas Griffin noted, "We really appreciate The Kennek Foundation for making this donation of Trouble the Dog to the Peabody Police and Fire Departments, as we deal with children on many different levels of trauma and anxiety.
