Energi Celebrates Headquarters Expansion; Announcement Expected

Energi Inc. and Boston Children’s Hospital officials will announce a new partnership at the Peabody-based company’s open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 Thursday, Jan. 22, 10 Centennial Park. The ribbon cutting will be held to celebrate the expansion of Energi’s corporate offices.

The Peabody-based company is expanding into an additional 40,000 square-feet in Centennial Park.

Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt and Energi CEO Brian McCarthy are scheduled to make a presentation. Boston Children’s Hospital and representatives from their Child Life Specialist division will also be in attendance and to make an announcement about a new partnership.

Energi, the Industrial reinsurance company, specializes in providing risk management and insurance solutions to over 1,000 energy companies in the United States and Canada. Energi currently has almost 200 employees in the United States and Canada. Energi has been selected by The Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, and Business Insurance Journal as one of the Top Places to Work in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The company recently leased an additional 40,000 square feet of space at its North American headquarters at 10 Centennial Park, Peabody. Energi is committed to hire over 250 employees in the next five years to support risk management, claims, sales and marketing at its Peabody location.

Energi completed more than 70 percent of the renovation using local contractors from the North Shore with the $1.8 million in capital spent according to company officials.
