The South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library is excited to welcome Dr. Ken Thomas as he takes us through the Amazon Basin which is home to 60% of the planet’s tropical rainforest. Join us as he shares how the region acts like a bowl collecting water and sends it thousands of miles to the Atlantic Ocean. He will also talk about the amazing animals and plants that thrive in the rainforest environment and show examples with his own pictures. This fun and exciting program is suitable for ages 7 & up. Kids and grownups are welcome to explore the Amazon together!
This journey into the rainforest will be at the South Branch located at 78 Lynn St. in Peabody on Tuesday, July 15th at 10:30AM. It has been generously sponsored by the Northern Essex Community College Speaker’s Bureau.
