Fenwick Girls’ Lax Knocked From Tourney By Magicians

Bishop Fenwick girls’ lacrosse fell to Marblehead High Thursday after a nail-biter at Piper Field in Marblehead that ended 14-12. Marblehead now advances to the semi-finals in the North Division II tournament.

Marblehead did get off to a slow start with Fenwick taking the lead early and scoring three goals in the first few minutes of the game, but Marblehead regrouped and took over, finishing the first half up 7-4.

The Lady Crusaders narrowed the gap to one point with under five minutes to play, but couldn’t overcome the Magicians by the buzzer. The Fenwick girls end the season at 16-4.
