Fingerprints Reveal Woman's Lie To Peabody Police

PEABODY, MA -- A 24-year-old woman made a bad situation worse by allegedly giving police a false name when she was arrested for shoplifting at Macy's at the North Shore Mall Saturday afternoon. Rachel E. Geren, 24, of Spencer, initially told police she was 21-year-old Oleksandra Frantsyk of Hopedale. Peabody Police were able to identify her through fingerprints, according to the Peabody Police log.
Geren was charged with shoplifting (second offense), carrying a dangerous weapon, giving a false name and social security number and intimidating a witness. Geren was also arrested on two outstanding warrants, one for OUI-related charges out of East Brookfield and one for credit card fraud out of South Boston.

- At 7:39 pm Friday, police responded to a call of a bald man in shorts and a black shirt trying to gain access to cars in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Main Street. Police arrested Peter G. Burgess, 37, of 88 Aborn Street #2, on a department warrant. for shoplifting, second offense
- At 7:30 pm Saturday, a Veterans Memorial Drive resident called police to report she had been assaulted by her neighbor. Police issued a summons to Jamie L. Benson, 37, of 38 Veterans Memorial Drive, on charges of assault and battery.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 12:53 am on Sunday on Dana Road and arrested Jason R. Dellamonica, 38, of Danvers, and charged him with assault and battery on a family/household member, malicious destruction of property and felony nighttime breaking and entering.
