PEABODY, MA — This summer the Peabody Volunteer Tutoring Organization, PVTO, will be offering free summer tutoring at the new Higgins Middle School this summer!
Our class selection includes subjects ranging from math, science, English, history, and SAT preparation for grades 1 - 12. Over the course of the program's four weeks, July 17th - August 10th, students will meet once per week in a small-medium group setting with their high school and college-age volunteer tutors.
Enrollment and participation in this program is completely free! The enrollment form can be found at bit.ly/enrollpvto & will be open from June 1st until June 23rd.

However, please note, due to the high demand for our program and the fact that it is free for all people involved, we can only accept a limited number of Peabody Public School students which will be granted on a first-come/first-serve basis in accordance to our tutor/classroom capacity.
After an incredible first-year debut last summer — boasting 175 students and 19 tutors, this will mark the PVTO's second summer in which we aim to build upon last year's success! The ultimate goal of our organization is to uphold the fundamental values inscribed in our mission statement:

We fully understand the intrinsic power and value of education and believe that it should be easily accessible to all students who are willing to learn, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, class, immigration status, or nationality. In addition, we understand it to be self-evident that education is a fundamental human right and not a commodity for privatization. Hence, education must be guaranteed to all – free of cost.
